College Football Picks: Week 11

I’m off to a late start this week due to the VT game on Thursday and the Penn State Scandal.  So these picks are a little slim on my reasoning.  But, this is the first week that I’m going to pick against the line to make it a little more interesting.

ACC

Clemson -17 over Wake Forest – Clemson is too good and will bounce back big from their loss to Georgia Tech.

NC State -2 over Boston College

Duke +10 over Virginia – UVA wins this game, but its closer than expected

Miami +9 over FSU – again, FSU wins but closer than expected

Maryland +20.5 over Notre Dame – That is too many points for Notre Dame, whose only win of 20 or more points game against Navy.  Maryland is bad, but not that bad… Right?

Top 25

Oregon +3.5 over Stanford – Oregon wins this one outright.  They are too fast on offense and defense for Stanford.

Nebraska -3 over Penn State – I don’t think Penn State stands a chance against Nebraska today.  The truth of the matter is that they weren’t able to prepare properly for this game and I didn’t even think they would win in the first place.

Auburn +12 over Georgia – I think Georgia wins this one, but not by as much as Vegas thinks.

Big 12! New this week!

Missouri +1.5 over Texas – Mizzou wins this one at home.  I really don’t think Texas is any good this year.  Their three conference wins are against Iowa, Kansas and Texas Tech.

Oklahoma State -20 over Texas Tech – Wow that’s a lot of point to give up, but its really just 3 TDs.  OSU can score that in a half quarter!

Baylor -20.5 over Kansas – KState gives up 45 ppg and only scores 24… Going by this stat, I’ll give the points here.

Kansas State +5.5 over Texas A&M – A&M goes up big like usual, then K state will come back to make it close.  I’d take KState to win a close one at home.
